Our story, mission and team

Our Story

Founded in January 2023 in the Democratic Republic of Congo, the NGO SHERIYA KWA WOTE (meaning "Justice For All" in Swahili) was born out of a deep conviction: no one should be left behind in the face of the world's injustices.

Founded by human rights defenders and committed jurists, the organization was created in direct response to the acute lack of access to justice, education and healthcare faced by the most vulnerable communities in Eastern DRC, particularly in a context of recurring humanitarian crises.

Since its founding, SHERIYA KWA WOTE has established itself as a recognized field actor, working with children in difficult situations, women victims of gender-based violence, internally displaced persons and marginalized communities.

Our name is both our identity and our commitment: justice, not for a few, but for all.
